Membership of the P.V.A. is open to any person whose current or former partner served in a theatre of war, campaign or was in peacekeeping/peacemaking duties or any other service that the National Management Committee deem as extremely hazardous military service as a member of the Australian Navy, Army or Air Force or as a member of one of the Australian Allied Forces. Widows/ers and War Widows/ers naturally meet the above membership criteria.

If you would like to join The Partners of Veterans Association you may download an Application Form by clicking on the link "Apply to Join" or feel free to contact your state branch.

Why join the P.V.A?

Our Association is a not-for-profit charitable entity and non government organisation – we are entirely run by volunteers.  We are not funded by government (other than Grant applications) – our funding comes from membership fees, donations or fundraising by members.

The Partners of Veterans Association of Australia (P.V.A.) was the first  association to acknowledge the needs of partners and families . PVA was formed in 1999 to represent, support and be there for Partners.

PVA’s core belief is that there must always be an association to represent this previously  forgotten, and at-risk group.

PVA believes it is imperative that no Partner ever feels deserted, defeated or most of all, totally alone.

This Association offers support, friendship, information and understanding from people in similar situations.  We are vigilant in watching for any changes that the government of the day may introduce that are detrimental to you or your family’s health, lifestyle and well-being.

These are the reasons why we join the P.V.A.
