Welcome to Queensland 

In Queensland, The PVA is working towards raising general awareness of partners' issues and the values and achievements of the Association. 

We have many members representing P.V.A. in one way or another, speaking at conferences, VVCS Lifestyle programs, Information Days, Weekend workshops, PTSD program in Townsville and Toowong, forums, Mental Health committees, as well as helping out during Carer's week and Remembrance Day. 

Obviously, these areas of representation are incredibly important to P.V.A. as participants coming from all over the state to attend, can then raise awareness in their own home district. 

I believe P.V.A. in Queensland has turned the corner, with support groups and contacts from the Gold Coast to North Queensland; we will continue to grow in strength and achievement.

We hold all our General meetings in provincial cities as we have the view that all members should have an opportunity to meet with others occasionally and with the least disruption to their caring roles at home. 

As Queensland State President of a very rewarding organisation, let me say that P.V.A. values the volunteer role on which we depend.  Of our current membership, I am supported in my work by other 'volunteer professionals' who hold the same passion for our members' welfare as I do.
